While I am overall happy with the new mayor I always seem to have complaints about the City of Houston. The new police chief needs to go he has shown his incompetence meddling with the affairs of the municipal courts. The city is pushing its red light cameras that just sends an invoice to the owner the vehicle even if it was reported stolen rather than have a real officer make a traffic stop and catch fugitive felons, drunk drivers, and illegal immigrants driving our roads. Well at the people of Houston will get to vote on these contraption in November. It will be interesting to see a reach of the hanging chads, dimples chad, and pregnant chad since we will not be having the voting machines thanks town incompetent county clerk’s office. They put all of our eyes in one basket by putting all our voting machines in the same warehouse. Brilliant! I think we should be allowed to vote on the internet.
The one thong they are doing right is the half squad car half taxi cab “choose your ride” promotion. It makes people think while using humor. Of course if they were really serious about stopping drunk drivers they would have officers watching the intersections where the red light cameras are up.
