Frontier Airlines food recommendations

The Asian Chicken Salad at $7 and the large $10 bottle of white wine will work well.  Salad is the best one I have had on an airplane in a while.  And of course the signature cookie a remnant from the Midwest Express days.  It was good and the flight attendants were very service oriented, although it took a while for one of them to understand that my wine selection would depend on the food avialable.

My grandfather Lt. (later Cmndr.) Richard B. Wathen helped capture has a new home in the new exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.  While it has been at the museum since 1954 when it wad towed from the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, New Hampshire after having been in Bermuda since capture, it sat outdoors for almost 50 years exposed to the elements.  It was given a new home in a new indoor underground exhibit hall in 2004.  Beautiful exhibit.  You can tour the inside of the submarine.  I cried when I saw my grandfather’s name on the glass plaque honoring the men who captured it.  I miss him so much and wish I could have toured the submarine with him.

Tabasco and Ketchup are not standard in Minnesota

image

I had to ask for them and I looked around the restaurant and we were the only table with them.  I also asked for salsa but they had to look hard through the kitchen to find it, I was done eating by the time they claimed to find it.
